Welcome

Welcome to Bottesford Schools Federation — a warm, inclusive and ambitious primary federation where we RISE together. Formed on 1 March 2026 by the federation of Bottesford Infant and Bottesford Junior Schools, we are a maintained primary provision that brings together the strengths of both sites to give every pupil the best possible start in their learning journey.

Safeguarding

Safeguarding and care are at the heart of everything we do. Pupils here know they are safe, valued and listened to. Our staff are well-trained, vigilant and confident to act when concerns arise. We work closely with families and external partners to provide early help and specialist support when it’s needed. Our open culture means parents and carers feel able to share worries and trust that they will be heard.

Inclusive

We hold the highest expectations for every child, regardless of their starting point. Many of our pupils face barriers linked to disadvantage or additional needs, and we respond quickly and effectively: early identification, high-quality inclusive teaching and targeted support help all children — including those with SEND or known to social care — to flourish. Our Pupil Premium strategy is evidence-informed and regularly reviewed to ensure it makes a real difference.

Curriculum

Learning at Bottesford is ambitious, purposeful and inspiring. Our curriculum is carefully sequenced to build strong foundational knowledge in the Early Years and Key Stage 1 — with particular emphasis on communication and language, reading, writing and mathematics. Reading sits at the heart of everything we do: we create engaging, meaningful reading experiences to inspire a lifelong love of books.

Attendance & Behaviour

We expect excellent attendance and behaviour, and we support families to achieve this. Clear routines, fair rules and respectful relationships create a calm, purposeful atmosphere where learning can flourish. When challenges arise, we work in partnership with parents and professionals so that every child can succeed.

Personal Development

Academic success and character development go hand in hand. Our RISE values are taught, modelled and celebrated daily, shaping how pupils think and behave. Pupils enjoy specialist teaching in music, sports, Forest School; inspiring trips and visitors; performances; and opportunities to take on leadership roles. We also offer a breakfast club to all pupils and a wide range of extra-curricular clubs.

We actively promote healthy competition and teamwork through regular inter-school and intra-federation sports events. Our pupils represent Bottesford in friendly matches, local leagues and competitive tournaments across a range of sports.

At Bottesford Schools Federation we RISE together — we do what’s right, help others and reach our best. We are committed to high-quality teaching, strong pastoral care, a broad extra-curricular offer and inclusive practises that enable every pupil to strive. I am proud to lead such a vibrant and caring federation and look forward to welcoming you into our community.
