Remote learning

Learning together, wherever we are

If remote learning is required, we want to make sure that our pupils can continue learning, stay connected with their teachers and enjoy a range of activities from the comfort of their own homes.

To support this, pupils will have access to Google Classroom and Tapestry, where they can find everything they need to support their learning.

All lessons, activities and resources will be shared through each pupil’s Google Classroom and Tapestry workspace. Pupils can work through the activities set by their teachers and submit their work and responses online for their teacher to see. This allows teachers to keep in touch with pupils, provide feedback and support their learning while they are at home.

We encourage families to help pupils check Google Classroom and Tapestry regularly and establish a routine that works well for them. Learning at home can look different for every family, and we hope these resources will help make the experience enjoyable, manageable and rewarding.

Useful Websites and Activities

Alongside the lessons and activities shared through Google Classroom and Tapestry, we have put together a selection of useful websites that pupils and families may enjoy exploring together. These offer opportunities to practise important skills, be creative, keep active and discover something new.

  • TTRockstars – A fun and engaging way to practise times tables and build confidence with multiplication and division.
  • BBC Bitesize – A fantastic collection of educational videos, games and activities covering a wide range of subjects and topics.
  • Topmarks – A variety of interactive educational games and activities to help children practise their maths, literacy and other curriculum skills.
  • Draw With Rob – Enjoy fun, step-by-step drawing sessions with Rob. A lovely way for children to get creative and develop their drawing skills.
  • Cosmic Kids Yoga – Fun yoga, movement and mindfulness activities designed especially for children. A great way to take a break, stretch and relax.
  • 150 Sensory Learning Ideas – A collection of creative sensory activities and ideas to support learning, exploration and wellbeing at home.

We hope these resources provide plenty of opportunities for learning, creativity and fun. Thank you for your continued support in helping your child learn and thrive, wherever their learning takes place.
